Taste Texas Wines,
then Bring a Bottle with You.
Our
hands are tied!! Due to Texas law, any alcohol consumed
on a charter bus must be supplied by you. This gives
you the opportunity to try Texas wines prior to the
your tour, and to bring a Lone Star Wine Find
to share with everyone. The remaining wine bottles at
the end of the tour will be taken by one lucky person
home after the tour. Please refer to the Typical Wine
Tour page for more tour details.
On this page we will list local merchants you can visit
to purchase Texas wines. Where you can talk to a wine
representative by name, becoming familiar personally
with someone who knows wine and is privy to Texas Grape
& Green Tours. Just show the staff our suggested
list of wines preferred for the tour. But, if you have
a favorite, bring it and share it!
Most wine merchants offer you the same bottle of wine
at or below the price youll pay at most chain
grocery store (plus a much larger selection available
to choose from). They will walk you through the wines
that fit both your taste and budget. Wine merchants
are wine enthusiasts who want to answer your questions.
Most taste wine on a daily basis, a tough occupation
indeed, keeping their palates and knowledge ready for
your questions. There are but a few retail outlets left
that rely on forming relationships with their customers.
